BIOGRAPHY
Bio: Hi, my name is Nigel Purcell. I am 35 from Centerville, IN. I have two bachelor's degrees. One is from Earlham College in Biochemistry in 2012, which was all wrong for me. I had quite a few jobs and moves between that and my second degree, which is a Studio Arts degree from University of Pittsburgh in 2022.

I am from a family of 5. I am the oldest of three children. Both my younger brother and sister are married and have kids. My mom was a journalist and is now not at her job, but is writing a book, watches grandkids and is involved with the church. I am a Christian. My dad is a fireman and flips houses on the side.

I make art a lot still. I am still trying to make art my job and have not been hired yet. I am going to keep making art and applying places until then. I'm fairly positive I will get hired eventually.
​
Outside of art, I enjoy exercise, jogging, cycling, hiking, movies, video games, books, and music. I played baseball in high school. I have an album on Bandcamp. I ran an olympic triathlon and a 50 mile ultramarathon.

Tools of the Trade
I have a Wacom Cintiq 22" and a Mac Studio. I also have a Rokoko motion capture suit. I use ZBrush, Photoshop, Blender, and Premiere mostly. I have tried out Unity, Unreal Engine, and Maya.
